Please use the Microsoft hotfix:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943545/en-us
Error returned by the IOCTL_SCSI_GET_INQUIRY_DATA operation on a Windows Server 2003-based computer: "STATUS_INVALID_DEVICE_REQUEST"
This issue occurs because of a logic error in the Storport.sys process that prevents the driver from returning the correct data for SCSI bus 8.
The micosoft hofix will resolve this problem in most cases. However it has not worked for all customers, therefore, our engineering team is working on a fix for a future NetVault release.
