You have a standalone drive, and need to make it so people other than NetVault administrators can change tapes, when tapes fill up.
If you use the eject button on the drive, NetVault is not informed that the tape has been ejected, and is not informed when the new tape is inserted, so jobs continue to wait for media.
Create a script people other than NetVault administrators can run, that will eject the tape.
1. Open notepad
2. cut and paste the lines below into notepad.
echo Ejecting tape from drive
"C:\Program Files\BakBone Software\NetVault\util\nvdeviceeject" -devicename "NAW0627: \Standalone"
3. Edit the 'NAW0627: \Standalone' to match your drives name.
4. Change the path to nvdeviceeject if NetVault is installed someplace else.
5. Click on File and select 'Save as', and save it as EjectTape.bat
