Occasionally, users might find a message on their NetVault server that the NetVault Process Manager service has terminated unexpectedly. This might also be logged in different ways in the system logs. At that time, Windows will have restarted the service, leading to the failure of all jobs running at the time.
There is a problem with the network manager that is caused by an operation on a zero-length package after receiving a NAK-Package. This happens sporadically and usually on busy systems.
The problem has been identified and resolved in fault NVG-1613, starting with version 7.4.5 of NetVault. If you experience this problem, please upgrade to this or a later version.
