Description:
EMC relocate restore completes, but files not there.
Symptoms:
Relocating restores on EMC filer shows job completed, but files are not where you expect. -
Resolution
You must use the rename option, not relocate. When you rename, it will only rename the item you are clicking on.
The selection tree looks something like this in the restore window
O /root_vol_1/Production_FS1
-O Production
-O Data
-X CA
If you want to have the CA directory restored to /root_vol_1/Production_FS2/Production/Data/CA, you need to right click on /root_vol_1/Production_FS1 select rename and rename it to /root_vol_1/Production_FS2 -
