Description:
Patch PHKL_41700 introduced a regression error causing additional wait time for all network timeout operations. NetVault backups over network are greatly affected by this, leading to much slower backup speeds than expected.
PHKL_41700 is an fs_select cumulative patch, provided by the Feature Enablement Bundle
(B.11.31.1103.361b) which is part of the HP-UX 11i v3, March 2011 release
Symptoms:
After an update to HP-UX 11i v3, March 2011 release (specifically the fs_select patch PHKL_41700), or installing NetVault onto a system running this release of HP-UX, LAN backups slow to speeds around 1.5MB/sec/
