Symptoms:
You might see this error when working with restricted access rights in NetVault "Access Control" / User-level access
Reason:
User-level access gives the ability to grant or deny certain privileges. If a job is owned by a different user than the one you are currently logged in as, or if the user you are logged in as does not have the correct permissions for a job it does own, NetVault will prevent execution with the above error message.
1) determine the user the job is owned by. This can be seen in "Job Management" by right-clicking on the grey title bar that by default says "Time | Job Title | Id..." and selecting "Owner" (if not already selected).
2) Once you have verified that the job is indeed owned by the correct user, try logging in as the "admin" or "default" account and running the job. These users should have all permissions and group memberships, and they should therefore be able to run the job.
3) If they can, check the permissions of the user you have problems running the job as. There are numerous job-related permissions on the privileges tab. In order to run jobs, you specifically need:
*Run predefined jobs instantly
*Submit/update backup jobs
*Submit/update restore jobs
A permission that is easy to overlook and not granted by the above automatically is the following;
*Jobs owned by this user may run
