Error 2008/07/01 12:20:08 369 Data Plugin vdrtest Timeout expired while waiting for BB agent
Reason:
VaultDR Online uses the Storix component to create a bootable image out of the currently running Linux installation during backup. VaultDR Online calls the Storix utilities and waits for them to connect. If they encounter an error, hang, or cannot be found, the above errors are logged.
The above errors could be the result of a genuine network connectivity problem, so verify that you can run other NetVault backups of the client (e.g. using the file system plugin).
If you can, then there is a problem with the Storix utilities. Check that the upgrade was successful. Double-check whether the /opt/storix/bin directory exists and contains executables starting with st*, and whether the system also has a /storix directory.
It is very important that the Storix utilities are uninstalled manually (by following the instructions in chapter 4.1.3.a of the manual) before installing the new plugin. If you saw missing files, not having done this is the most common reason. If so, ensure that you remove the new plugin once more and all references to Storix and then install the plugin again.
