OS collections on the database cartridge do not gather memory information on HP-UX system.
Example error:
2011-03-01 14:34:34.623 ECHO < DB_Oracle/5.5.4.559/DB_Oracle_RAC/HOSTNAME.FQDN.COM-agent > ERROR [HOSTNAME.FQDN.COM-lowPriorityPool-1302] com.quest.qsi.fason.oracle.collection.processor.DBOInstanceProcessor - Failed to run DBOHostNameRamComplexProcessor processor of DBO_OS_File_System_Disk collection of DB_Oracle_RAC_Instance_on_HOSTNAME instance.java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to execute processor DBORamUnixProcessor for collection DBO_OS_File_System_Disk using query [DBO_OS_Host_Properties_ram_hp.ksh]
HP-UX's cstm tool requires InfoLog to be turned on.
Memory collection on HP-UX is accomplished two ways.
1. Through collection of memory information from the syslog.
2. Through use of the HP-UX cstm tool.
In cases where the syslog information rolls over, the agent will collect using the cstm tool, which requires InfoLog to be turned on.
The issue is solved in the latest version of the cartridge which is 5.5.8.568.
If an upgrade is not possible please follow the steps below:
Test if InfoLog is turned on by running the following command as root:
echo "selclass qualifier memory;infolog" | cstm
If you get a message indicating that InfoLog is current disabled, enable InfoLog to resolve this issue.
