When creating new code in the Editor where there are multiple data types in each new line; they are not aligning when tabbed over. Even Toad generated table scripts in the Schema Browser will not align the data types for each column properly. (See attached screen shot: Not aligned.PNG).
A proportional typeface font is being used in the Toad Options for the Editor.
Use a monospaced (non-proportional or fixed-width) typeface font in Toad.
1. In Toad, go to View | Toad Options | Editor - Display.
2. Click the Editor button under the Fonts section.
3. Change the Font to "Courier" with typically "Regular" style and size "10".
4. click Apply and OK.
Additional information about Fonts:
Examples of monospaced typefaces are Courier, Prestige Elite, Fixedsys, and Monaco.
