When creating a new table by importing data from a file, the import fails saying "String or bi (4244618)

I am using the import wizard to create a table while importing data from a file.  I am having a problem because I am not able to specify what kind of datatype to make each of the columns.  It makes me have each column NVARCHAR.  I need to be able to make a column datatype VARCHAR(5000).  Since the columns have to be NVARCHAR datatype, the max size it can be is 4000, so I am getting a "String or binary data would be truncated" message because my data is longer than 4000 characters.

WORKAROUND:
Manually create the table and import the data into it.

STATUS:
Waiting for enhancement to be included into a future version of Toad for SQL Server that will allow users to specify the columns datatypes.
