After upgrading RMAD the error "Invalid pointer" may occur trying to create a new collection.
Recovery Manager .mdb database files were not properly upgraded by setup program.
To resolve this issue, manually upgrade the databases with BackupDBImport.exe and DBImport.exe utilities.
BackupDBImport.exe is in located in the \Program Files\Quest Software\Recovery Manager for Active Directory\ directory.
BackupDBImport.exe utility is used to do an import on the Backups.mdb file.
Usage:
BackupDBImport.exe <source> <target>
Where
<source> is the source filename, by default located in "\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Quest Software\RMAD\"
<target> target filename
Example command line:
"c:\Program Files\Quest Software\Recovery Manager for Active Directory\BackupDBImport.exe" "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Quest Software\RMAD\Backups_xxxx_xx_xx-xx_xx_xx.mdb" "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Quest Software\RMAD\Backups.mdb"
(xx sequence has to be replaced with the actual timestamp date on the backup file)
