Upon starting Resource Updating Manager 8.4 or later, a gray screen is displayed for several minutes before loading up the GUI. User interface is generally slow and unresponsive.
This can be caused by Migration Manager console being pointed to an ADAM instance in remote network or a slow link between the console and the ADAM server
Start the registry editor on the console and check the Server and Port values in the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Aelita\Migration Manager\CurrentVersion\Active Directory\CurrentVersion\Workspace
to find out which ADAM instance is being used by the console
For better response times please install another ADAM replica in the current set (https://support.quest.com/Search/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL32062&category=Solutions&SKB=1) and configure the console to use it by using Open Project wizard in the File manu.
