The following error occurs at the time of exporting data using Export Dataset:
'Access Denied'
The export is not being scheduled.
This is most likely an OS permissions issue. Toad checks the user rights on Windows Task Scheduler at the time of export. Check Toad.elf file.
RESOLUTION 1:
Contact your network administrator to acquire the necessary read / write rights or privileges to use Windows Task Scheduler and network path locations you are saving to.
NOTE: If some of your folders / directories are hidden, open a Windows Explorer | go to Tools Menu | Folder Options | View Tab | click “Show hidden files and folders” | click Apply | then click OK.
1) Fully Exit Toad
2) Go to:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR_USER>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\
Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\<YOUR_USER>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\
3) Rename the "9.7" or “10.x” folder to "9.7_OLD" or “10.x_OLD”
4) Start Toad
5) When prompted to Migrate previous Toad settings, do NOT migrate any settings (choose “Clean Install”)
NOTE: If you are not prompted to complete the Initial Toad settings, this means that the above steps did not work. Please contact Quest Support if this happens.
6) Connect to ONE database ONLY (check the “Save Passwords” box in the login screen if you prefer), and then fully exit Toad. This will finalize all the settings.
7) Start Toad again and re-test the issue
For Users using Toad through Citrix, you can use CACLS tool http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc785125(WS.10).aspx to change the access permissions on the "Windows\Tasks" folder. Giving Full Control Access to this directory to all the users on the concerned Terminal server.
