Technical Support often recommends to use the Service File Viewer? Where can this tool be found?
Service File Viewer is part of the Exchange Resource Kit and is not installed automatically.
In order to install the Service File Viewer close the console, run setup and select the Exchange Resource Kit.
Once installed start , switch to the Exchange Data side, on the left pane navigate all the down to and click on Resource Kit.
Then in the right side pane click Service File Viewer.
When the Service File Viewer starts specify the desired Agent Host
NOTE: If Migration Manager is installed on any volume other than the default, you must specify the same alternate drive, while preserving the path (default %\program files%\quest software\exchange data\) to install the Resource kit.
In most environments (assuming Transmission agent works as expected) all PRV files are immediately moved to target side so admins always connect to target servers. The Service File Viewer is capable of showing the old (dead) archived PRV files. Migration Manager documentation contains more information about the Service File Viewer and how it can be used.
Known issue: Usually the Service File Viewer is not able to connect to a cluster and reports an error. To resolve the issue please modify the shared folder and add an additional share name \\serverNode\qmmex$serverNode$ as outlined in the article 53051
