CAUTION: To work around this issue, you need to modify the system registry. Incorrectly editing the registry may severely damage your system. Before modifying the registry, back up any valued data on the computer.
1. On the Recovery Manager computer, start Registry Editor: Click Start, then click Run, type regedit, and click OK.
2. Expand the appropriate nodes to locate and select the following subkey:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT \CurrentVersion\Windows\RequireSignedAppInit_DLLs
3. From the main menu, select Edit | Modify.
4. In the dialog box that opens, under Value data, change the DWORD value to 0, and click OK.

1. Delete the public folder hierarchy from the console tree: right-click the public folder hierarchy node in the console tree, and click Delete on the shortcut menu.
2. Re-register the public folder hierarchy as follows:
a. Start the Add Storage Wizard and follow the steps in the wizard until you are on the Specify Exchange Server page.
b. Select the Connect as specific mailbox user option, and then specify the user name and password of the account with which you want to connect. Make sure the account has Send As and Receive As permissions for the public folder store you want to register.
3. Step through the Add Storage Wizard to complete the storage registration operation.
