A user has a connection to a Parallels Virtuozzo container and then disconnects, when the user reconnects they are given a new session instead of reconnecting to their previous session. The Client Assignment option has been enabled to persistently assign a user to the computer. The user will have 2 current sessions on the same computer and may have problems launching applications such as Microsoft Outlook.
In the vWorkspace Management console the user shows as having 2 current sessions, one active and one disconnected.
The Parallels Virtuozzo Containers are configured in Remote Desktop Terminal Services mode, this allows you to simultaneously open two Remote Desktop sessions to each container.
The local or group policy settings on the server allows the user to have more than one Remote Desktop session to the server.
To restrict the user to a single remote session on the server follow the steps below:
1. Open the local computer policy editor, type Gpedit.msc from the Run prompt.
2. Browse to the policy folder Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Terminal Services
3. Locate and Enable the setting Restrict Terminal Services users to a single remote session
4. Close the policy editor
The users are now restricted to a single remote session on the server, if the user has a disconnected session they will be reconnected to this and will no longer launch a new session.
