Quest CPU Management (Mgmt) Service will not start after vWorkspace has been installed.
The Visual C 7.1 Runtime libraries are missing on the local system.
To resolve the issue stated here you will need a copy of the following two files:
Once obtained, these files must be copied to the WINDOWSsystem32 folder, these files do not need to be registered.
Once the above files are placed in the WINDOWSsystem32 folder, next start the 'Quest CPU Mgmt Service' using the Services Console installed on the server.
(Select Start | Run | (type) Services.msc and select OK)
Terminal Servers installed in a VMware environment with VMTools installed will not exhibit this behavior.
Terminal Servers installed in a Parallels Virtuozzo environment will not exhibit this behavior.
The above two environments include these files by default. VMware includes the files with VMTools, Virtuozzo installs these files with the Virtuozzo installer.
NOTE: Future versions of the vWorkspace installer will check for the files existence and copy as required.
