Error when running a report in Knowledge Portal - Error: "The input XML is not well-formed. One o (4272553)

When running a report in the Quest Knowledge Portal the following error might occur:

"The input XML is not well-formed. One or more elements is missing a closing tag or has mismatched tags: The '$' character, hexadecimal value 0x24, cannot be included in a name.Line 214, position 35.. (rsMalformedXml)"

The same report runs fine in Report Manager (SRS). This error may occur with other special characters such as '!'.

This error might occur if the account under which the report is performed contains a special character ($admin, admin!, etc).

This issue has been fixed in Quest Knowledge Portal 2.0
