Description
After starting SharePlex, capture is stopped due to error and you find the following error in the even_log:

10/22/08 08:31 Warning: A portion of the redo log could not be parsed [sp_ocap/3076304]

Cause
The capture process is not able to access/read the Oracle archivelog

Resolution
Check and correct the permissions of your Oracle archive directory. Make sure that the SharePlex user which is running sp_cop (normally root) can access this directory.
If this filesystem is NFS mounted also check that the mount is properly done, the user should have the same permissions on the NFS volume as on the local filesystem.
