When scheduling diagnostic reports from Performance Analysis (PA) for Oracle, the email reports are not being sent although the "Send test mail" worked successfully.
1. The SMTP server may be blocking emails with attachment coming from the machine where PA is installed.
2. The recipient email address is invalid. The "Send test mail" sends a sample email to the email sender address and not to the designated recipient of the reports.
3. The scheduled task failed to run.
WORKAROUND 1:
Ensure that the SMTP server is allowing emails with attachments to be sent from the machine where PA is installed. If you have an email client software (e.g. Outlook Express) on this machine, try sending emails with attachments to the designated recipient.
WORKAROUND 2:
Check if the scheduled task ran successfully. Open up Windows Scheduled Tasks and verify if the Performance Analysis report ran successfully at the specified time. The scheduled task has the following naming format: "Quest Central - Performance Analysis - Oracle Report #39694468088". If it failed, go to Advanced | View log to investigate what caused the failure.
