Description
Can't delete public custom view from "Configuration | Definitions | Views" page. The following error message is displayed when you try to delete the view:
A public view may not be removed. Would you like to replace it instead?
"Edit" is not an option on the View so it can't be changed so that it is no longer public. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND: None.
STATUS: WCF-4655 was fixed in 5.2.0 and higher. Edit dashboard to remove Public checkbox and then delete.

The view was created from data available from "Other Actions | Create Dashboard" under the General tab on the right-hand side of the console.
