"The type of column" "is not supported for a user-defined collection" error when creating a UDC -
Description
A message like the following appears in the database agent log file when trying to create a User Defined Collection (UDC) using an unsupported data type.
ERROR [FglAM:IncomingMessage[5]-504] com.quest.qsi.fason.core.agent.DbAgent - Failed to execute the callback : [DBSSCustomQueryFields].
java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to execute collection [DBSSCustomQueryFields], reason=The type of column sid is VARBINARY , which is not supported for a user-defined collection

Cause
The UDC component only allows the possible options data types which can be stored in the Foglight topology.
Permitted field types can be one of the followings Metric\StringObservation\String\Integer\Double\Boolean\Date. Integers can be cast to Double. All of these data types may be cast to string or to stringobservation.

The following datatypes are supported (with the conversion result in parentheses)

- BIT (to INTEGER)
- BOOLEAN (TO BOOLEAN)
- CHAR (to STRING)
- CLOB (to STRING)
- DATE (to DATE)
- DECIMAL (to DOUBLE)
- DOUBLE (to DOUBLE)
- FLOAT (to DOUBLE)
- INTEGER (to INTEGER)
- JAVA_OBJECT (to STRING)
- LONGNVARCHAR (to STRING)
- LONGVARCHAR (to STRING)
- NCHAR (to STRING)
- NCLOB (to STRING)
- NUMERIC (to DOUBLE)
- NVARCHAR (to STRING)
- REAL (to DOUBLE)
- ROWID (to INTEGER)
- SMALLINT (to INTEGER)
- SQLXML (to STRING)
- TIME (to DATE)
- TIMESTAMP (to DATE)
- TINYINT (to INTEGER)
- VARCHAR (to STRING)
The following datatypes are not supported because they cannot be converted to Integers, Boolean, Date, Double, or Strings.- ARRAY
