After decommissioning a server and deleting the corresponding agent, the Infrastructure dashboard and Hosts dashboard still list that same server.
Deleting an agent from the Agent Status dashboard does not delete the corresponding Topology Objects (e.g. Host objects).
This behavior is by design so the metrics and objects don't get lost while troubleshooting an issue with an agent that requires the agent to be recreated manually.
Most objects are deleted automatically after 30 days of them being stale by default; some object types have a shorter retention period.
The Infrastructure and Hosts dashboards list Host topology objects. Use these steps to manually remove specific Host topology objects.
Note: There are two 'modes' for this dashboard, the steps above are for the Object Management mode. If you see object trees instead of a list of object types, click Object Management link in the bottom-right corner.
