Configuring frequencies for collections that are not listed in the Snowflake Agent Status Properties -
Description
Several Snowflake agent collections are not listed in the Agent Status Properties. Can the frequencies of these be adjusted? -
Cause
As stated in the Snowflake cartridge user guide "Certain collections are not included in this list due to technical requirements that they take place at specific intervals." -
Resolution
The following collections are listed among the collection intervals in the Snowflake agent. Numbers next to each value are the default collection intervals in seconds.
- "DB List Refresh", 1800
- "Availability", 300
- "DBs/Tables/Users", 1800
- "DB Objects", 300
- "Failed Logins", 1800
- "Warehouse Status", 300
These additional collections can also be added using the Add Row button. Numbers next to each value are the default collection intervals in seconds.- "Storage", 86400
- "Warehouse Load", 300
- "Warehouse Metering", 3600 (Minimum increment is an hour)
- "Warehouse Queries", 1800
- "Top Queries", 300
- "Blocked Transactions", 2700
- "Current Locks", 300
- "Resource Monitors", 300
- "Workload", 300

Additional Information
A "Select 1;" query is also sent from the agent prior to a collection query to test that the connection is working. They are not run at any other time and the agent does not keep connections active for longer than it takes to run the query. These connection tests are not configurable.
