When migrating data with Migrator for GroupWise (MFG), you may come across the following error:

This error can occur when an attachment cannot be accessed by the GroupWise client for some reason (e.g., it's corrupted, it's a shared file owned by another account, or the attachment has been stripped by a virus scanner if one is present on the migration server.
MFG uses the Novell GroupWise client API's to extract mail data, so one way to confirm if a message is corrupt is to log into the user's account with the Groupwise client and see if you can save and open the attachment.
We would also recommend running GWCHECK at least three times on the users mailbox.
As a test, we would recommend uninstalling any antivirus software installed on the MFG migration server.
