The following procedure should allow you to configure Migrator for NDS to migrate to a new target Active Directory (AD) domain:
1.) Dis-join the Migrator for NDS migration server from the old domain.
2.) Join the Migrator for NDS migration server to the new domain.
3.) Edit the following registry key to reflect the new target AD domain.
Note: Quest does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of the registry. The Windows registry contains information critical to your computer and applications. Make sure you back up the registry before modifying it. For more information on the Windows Registry Editor and how to back up and restore it, refer to Microsoft Article ID 256986 “Description of the Microsoft Windows registry” at Microsoft Support.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Dell\Migrator for NDS\Database\SQL Server Domain
4.) Edit the properties of the SQL Server service and change who the SQL Server is running as on the "Log On" tab, to match the new AD migration admin user account in the new domain.
5.) Restart the SQL Server service.
6.) Re-launch Migrator for NDS.
