Socket_test will return the same message "No route to host" or hang.
This is an issue with network.
1. There is no route between two servers.
2. There is no entry defined in the network's ARP table
3. For linux, make sure firewall/iptables are not running.
#service --status-all|grep ip
ip6tables: Firewall is not running.
iptables: Firewall is not running.
Resolve the network's problem by either creating a route between two servers or add new entry on the ARP table. This should be done by system administrator or network administrator.
When there is no entry in the network's ARP table, pinging between two servers successfully returns.
