cannot connect to the O/S part of the Spotlight (4335336)

ERROR:

UNIX (REXEC) connection error:Failed to connect to server
ErrorCode: 4000
Reason : rexecd: Couldn't look up address for your host

REXEC is not installed or not started on the server or user/password is not recognized

Please run the following from the command line (open command line and switch to you C: prompt first):

rexec <hostname> -l <user> uname -a

for example:

rexec alv2000 -l oracle -a

If the above command issue and output that it cannot connect for whatever reason then it is not a Spotlight issue and the issue needs to be addressed with your system administrator. Most likely rexec is not started on the server.
