Cursor position does not show the correct position when highlighting and then deleting (4333115)

There is a very small issue with the cursor position in the editor.

Please follow the steps below to reproduce it:

1. Write something in the editor. e.g.
              write_something_in_the_editor         (Note that this label is 30 long)
    The editor correctly displays "1: 30" as cursor position
2. Go to the "e" of word "editor"
     Now the editor correctly displays "1: 24" as cursor position 
     Select from left to right (from the 'e' to the end of the label)
3. Press <shift + end>
    The editor correctly displays "1: 30" as cursor position
4. Press <delete> - the editor displays "1:30" , which is incorrect
