SharePlex 8.6.x connections options to ASM instance -
Description
Starting with SharePlex 8.6 and above, users have an option to choose either BEQUEATH method or tns_alias method to connect to the ASM instance.

Resolution:
1. By default, SharePlex uses OS authentication, which is the BEQUEATH connection to the ASM.
To choose BEQUEATH to connect to ASM:
On ora_setup prompt: "ASM detected. Do you wish to connect to ASM through OS authentication?" please enter 'Y'
2. To choose tns_alias for connecting to ASM,
On ora_setup prompt: "ASM detected. Do you wish to connect to ASM through OS authentication?" please enter 'N'
You'll be prompted with tns_alias for connecting to asm instance.
"Enter the ASM tns alias to be used by SharePlex:..."
ASM admin user with sysasm and sysdba and password are required when selecting this option. You'll be prompted with the following prompt:
a. "Enter an ASM admin username for...",
b. Enter user password for...
Special consideration:
When scan ip is configured on tns_alias which is used by SharePlex, SharePlex needs to use tns_alias for both db and asm connection
