SharePlex startup failed with error "unable to find license key". (4332658)

Tried to start shareplex up , but get error "unable to find license key".

Further investigate shows the that the paramdb and statsudb files in SP_SYS_VARDIR/data diretcory have zero byte in size .

Runnig sp_add_key, runs successfully, but nothing is added into paramdb file.

Running ora_setup , gives this error “writing file: Invalid file system control data detected”.

Disk failed.

Resolution 1:

1.Fix disk issue first, then perform the following:

2. Restoring paramdb file, run sp_add_key and ora_setup to add key and user info into paramdb file.

3.  For restoring of statusdb file, it depends on the machine is SharePlex source or target.

 a. If this is a target side, zero byte of statusdb should not prevent to start up SharePlex as new entry of  statusdb file will auto added while    staring up SharePlex .

b.  If this is source side, restoring of  statusdb from  the recently backup or contact SharePlex support to manually restore the file before starting sp_cop.

Resolution 2:

1. Move vardir to a good disk. For detail information on how to move varidr to different location, please refer SOL69053, then perform following:

2. Restoring paramdb file, run sp_add_key and ora_setup to add key and user info into paramdb file.

3.  For restoring of statusdb file, it depends on the machine is SharePlex source or target.

a. If this is a target side, zero byte of statusdb should not prevent to start up SharePlex as new entry of  statusdb file will auto added while staring up SharePlex . 

b.  If this is source side, restoring of  statusdb from  the recently backup or contact SharePlex support to manually restore the file before starting sp_cop.
