When Toad Data Modeler MSI is downloaded then try to install, a prompt will show:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Quest_ToadDataModeler_XXX.msi'
The downloaded installer is named as 'Quest_ToadDataModeler_X.X.X.X.msi' - Please note the dots in between the version. The prompt has no dots.
Possible reason for the dialog or prompt thrown when trying to start the installer is explained in Microsoft Solution at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb892810.aspx. It says that there must have been installation from that Quest_ToadDataModeler_XXX.msi installer in the network directory from the snapshot. Windows saves the location for the case of repairs, updates and patches that might be applied in the future.
WORKAROUND 1:
Rename the installer to that Quest_ToadDataModeler_XXX.msi then locate the renamed installer from the dialog or prompt.
WORKAROUND 2:
Use Windows Disk Cleanup tool from Accessories | System Tools. Check options Downloaded Program Files, Temporary Files and Temporary Offline Files. Then try the installation again.
