Users unable to login after password expires and they change the password -
Description
I constantly have users complain that their password has expired and they get an error when trying to change it from the login screen.
The functionality exists to change the password already so all I am saying is don't have the functionality constrained by the fact that the password has expired. As long as they know what the previous passord was they should be allowed to change it even after it has expired. -
Cause
User error in entering password. Trying multiple times incorrectly locks the account as designed.

Resolution
The attached screenshots inciate the ability for a user to change the password and login without Administrator assistance.
Review the attached doc and note the user 'rick' account is not locked, just the password is expired.
So if a user has tried enough times unsuccessfuly, that will lock the account; an Administrator would always have to be contacted.
That would remain 'As Designed'. -
