Error: The service SQL Server Agent(instance name) on (server name) does not appear to be running. Attempt to start it now? when attempting to connect to server/instance in LiteSpeed Enterprise Console. Error may appear when running scheduled LiteSpeed jobs.

The SQL Server Agent Service is not running.

In SQL Server 2000:
1. Right Click on the server in Enterprise Console and select 'Start SQL Server Agent'
2. Access the Service Manager: Click Start | All Programs |Microsoft SQL Server | Service Manager | Services | SQL Server Agent, right-click and Start
3. This service may be set to start Automatically Start in the Properties under Control Panel | Services | SQL Server Agent | Startup Type

In SQL Server 2005, SQL Server Agent can be stopped and started from SQL Server Configuration Manager.
Click Start | All Programs |Microsoft SQL Server 2005 | Configuration Tools | SQL Server Configuration Manager | Services | SQL Server Agent, right-click any instance and click Start. A green arrow on the icon next to the SQL Server Agent and on the toolbar indicates that SQL Server Agent started successfully.

In the LiteSpeed Enterprise Console, by right clicking on the Server/Instance, the menu that opens includes "Start SQL Agent"
