Error received when performing an AD Object Merge with GroupWise Migrator for Exchange (GME):
"Object found does not have importedFrom attribute"
The 'importedfrom' attribute is populated by the Microsoft Connector when any object is create via the connector. This attribute is set to the GUID of the connector created object.
GroupWise Migrator will always check for the existence of the 'importedfrom' attribute and return an error, as above if missing. This will occur as the primary purpose of the AD Object Merge is to merge the connector created contact to the Active Directory user to allow the continuation of routing through the connector from Exchange to GroupWise.
This can be worked around if the contact object was not created by the connector, but the end result may result in the contact not being deleted (normal action of the AD Object Merge). If this occurs, the need to manually remove the contact will be necessary as GroupWise Migrator for Exchange will not delete objects that it determines was not created by the connector (ie. no importedfrom attribute set).
In the adobjmerge INI file, ensure the following values are present under the [ActiveDirectory] section:
MergeReqImportedFrom=0
MergeReqProxyAddress=0
The first value tells the program to verify that each contact was imported from the Microsoft Groupwise Connector, via the 'MergeReqImportedFrom=0'.
The second value,MergeReqProxyAddress=0, tells the program to not require each contact to contain two GWISE style addresses. This is because the Microsoft GroupWise Connector normally creates two groupwise proxy addresses with each contact.
