Is there a way to diagnose multiple Oracle instanceswithSpotlight for Oraclewith the possiblity of using multipleMonitors at the same time?
1. Use the Slideshow feature
There can be separate connections to all Oracleinstances andSpotlightcan cycle continuously through each of the connections. If this is done only a single monitor and Spotlight installationis required.
2. Install multiple Spotlight consoles side-by-side
Since Spotlight on Oracle 4.0, users have been able to install multiple Spotlight consoles side-by-side. This can be done if the Spotlight client machine is adequately configured (i.e. is powerful enough to run n Spotlight consoles at the same time).
1. Install Spotlight n times into n separate locations, each under a different name (Spot1, Spot2, etc.)
2. In each separate Spotlight console (Spot1, Spot2, etc.), create one connection to a separate database instance (Connection1, Connection2, etc.)
3. Start up ALL the Spotlight consoles (Spot1 through Spot4) and display each in a different monitor.
4. Open Connection1 in Spot1, Connection2 in Spot2, etc.
Naturally, n Spotlight consoles running simultaneously on the same machine will have a greater need of resources than a single console.
3. Combine the two strategies
You can install multiple Spotlight consoles side-by-side and open multiple connections in each oneand activate the Slideshow featureto cycle through the open connections in each Spotlight console.
NOTE: You can download the side-by-side installer fromhttp://support.quest.com.
