When running the "Locate Notes Data Stores" a second time, the option "Through Domino Server(s)" within the Notes Data Locator Wizard is not available.
Selecting the following options on this window: "Find new data stores and gather statistics", "Add to existing data" in the drop down box, and the box marked "Mail files".
When "Next" is clicked, only the option "Scan file system directories that I specify" or possibly "Use MailFilePath from database. (1 of 1 populated)" is available. The option to select "Through Domino Server" is Grayed out.
However, if on the first screen "Gather Statistics" was selected, the Domino Server option is available.
If the mailfile which was previously located is stored on the server, then the Directory Exporter already located it and does not need to find it again so the option to look on the Domino Server is grayed out.
The tool expects that the MailFilePath in the database has been populated via the .tsv file export/import process which means that the tool cannot 're-find' mail files that are on the server as the NME db already has them (from the Directory Exporter). Meaning you cannot add *another* server side mailfile.
Please see Page 88 of the userguide for instructions on how to modify the .tsv file.
If the mailfile location has changed in Domino, re-run the "Export Notes Directory" to update the location in our database for these files.
If making a replica server for migration, use the migdbutil.exe tool to change the server on which the file resides. Please see the "migdbutil.chm" help file located in the Program directory for information on this tool.
Reason why the tool does this: Only one server mail file per user is allowed because Notes only allows one server mail file per user.
