Resolution
- LiteSpeed Log Shipping v4.8 is not upgradable. The steps would involve removing the old plan and installing the new Log Shipping Plan with the LiteSpeed v5.0 GUI
- Remove LiteSpeed v4.8.x Log Shipping (See SOL20266 https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=solution&id=SOL20266 for step-by-step instruction )
- Upgrade both the publisher and subscriber to version 5.x
- Select Log Shipping tab | Configure Log Shipping -

From the 5.0.0.1030 release notes:
LiteSpeed 5.0.x does not support LiteSpeed 4.x log shipping plans.If you are upgrading and have LiteSpeed 4.x log shipping plans, you must followSolution 45391on SupportLink to update your log shipping plans. If you do not follow these instructions, your log shipping plans will fail after the upgrade is complete.
