The following warning appears in the log file after the Export Notes Directory or Locate Notes Data Stores operations.
WARNING: [139-153-5-00000000] Unable to gather statistics for mail file 'Notes/User!!mail\mailfile.nsf' for 'CN=User Name/O=Notes'. Mail file will be recorded without design template or statistics.
This warning is manufactured as a result of NME's inability to determine the design template or statistics of the .nsf file that was found.
Notes Migrator for Exchange examines the Cataog.nsf file to see what other Notes environments are outside the Names.nsf file that was detected with Directory Exporter. It's possible that the mail file paths that are listed in the error log are not accessible by NME.
The failure to gather statistics on this file was probably a result of not being able to find or extract this information from the Notes catalog file. This may be due to corruption or other things beyond our control. This will not affect our ability to migrate the data, however. The statistics are only useful for planning and reporting and aren't used during a migration.
STATUS:
This isn't a warning that can be fixed as It's saying that the catalog.nsf file references a mail file sitting in a location, but that location is either incorrect or NME is not able to reach it. Both are valid reasons for seeing that warning.
If the statistics on the files listed in the Catalog.nsf file are not needed, use the Offline=1 setting in the INI and that will make it so NME only looks at files in the Names.nsf file and not use the Catalog.nsf.
Information on the Offline=1 switch, as seen on page 66 of the NME_Params_Ref.pdf document.
This would be added to the Global settings ini file, accessed through File | Edit Global Default Settings.
Offline=<#>
Type: boolean. Optional. Default: 0
Offline=1
... will disable Notes catalog searches when the Wizard is extracting data from
the NAB. This parameter can be useful to avoid timeouts, "server not available"
errors, and "access denied" errors while trying to open the catalogs on all the
servers that host users' mail files. Offline=1 is therefore appropriate when running
a Directory Export in an environment that does not have access to the other
servers -- for example, where a local copy of the NAB is being used on a test
machine instead of using the live NAB on a production machine. Another
example would be where the Directory Export Wizard is running with a user.id
file that has no rights to all the other servers. By default (Offline=0), catalog
searches are enabled as part of the data extraction.
