For NetApp Filer monitoring, using Foglight for Foglight for Storage Management, does this include support for Fibre Channel (FC), Network Filesystem (NFS) and Common Internet Filesystem (CIFS)?
Resolution
Yes, Foglight for Storage Management (for NetApp FIler) supports FC, NFS and CIFS. Foglight can build storage topology (from filer, through switch, to virtual machine) regardless of the protocol used to provide the storage to remote system.
For NFS and CIFS, performance information is currently only reported for the volume to which the shares belong. Information about an individual shares performance is not available.
STATUS
Enhancement request number “VFGLS-2944" has been submitted to Development for making the performance list available and listing all of the NFS and CIFS exports from a volume.
