We have retired several exchange hosts, but they still seem to be showing under the Exchange Environment>Health Check>Cluster Health Check Dashboard. Is there a way to manually remove these from the dashboard?
We are pretty sure, deleted them from the topology. But we could have missed a section where these still remain.
WORKAROUND:
There's a script to delete the retired/stale objects still lingering around even though deleted from object cleanup dashboard.
Please contact support to obtain the script for deletion.
Before opening the SR, make sure the below objects have been deleted from object cleanup dashboard:
Host, VMWVIrtualMachines, EXCClusterNode & EXCServer
You can find object cleanup dashboard when you navigate to: Dashboards | Administration | Management server | Servers -> Object Cleanup Click "Data Management Browser" at bottom right hand corner.
For Hosts, expand the hosts tree
VMWVIrtualMachines, expand VMware model
EXCClusterNode & EXCServer, expand the Exchange tree.
IMPORTANT: The script is designed to delete the objects that were not updated in last 5 minutes and disconnect the old relationship within the cluster level.
Some valid relationships may be dropped during this process but the remaining valid relationships will be rebuild within the next collection interval.
