How do I install the XRT PDS network license to the server and client machines?
Firstly, you'll need to ensure that the license uses the CPUID of the server that will be running the XRT license daemon (xrtld).
Next, you'll install your license on the server using $XRTHOME/bin/xrtpasswd. Once the license has been installed, start up $XRTHOME/bin/xrtld to start the licensing daemon.
If you are sharing the development directory using NFS or something similar, then you have completed the installation process. On one of the client machines, run $XRTHOME/bin/xrt_license to confirm the proper functioning of the licenses.
If you have separate, local installations on each client machine, you will need to install the exact same license as you put on the server to each machine. This means that when xrtpasswd comes up with a default CPUID matching your local machine, you will enter instead the CPUID for the server running the license daemon. Once this password is installed, you can verify it's validity with running $XRTHOME/bin/xrt_license.
