It may be desirable to add websites to the compatibility view of Internet Explorer without manually having to enter the settings in Internet Explorer for each user. Although Desktop Authority does not have a specific feature designed to configure Internet Explorer compatibility settings, it can be accomplished by using the Registry Object and applying the appropriate registry settings through the logon script.
Launch Internet Explorer. Click on Tools | Compatibility View settings from the menu pad and add the desired websites. After entering the websites, click on the Close button.
Launch Regedit and navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\BrowserEmulation and export the ClearableListData key.
In the Desktop Authority manager console, navigate to the appropriate profile and click on the Registry object. Click the Add button and then Import. Select the registry file that was previously exported and then click on the Import option. Once this operation is completed, apply the desired validation logic to target specific users or groups and then save and replicate the changes.
NOTE: This will overwrite any websites that the user has added to the Compatibility View settings.
