What is the difference between baseline and threshold alarms?
Baseline deviation alarms are triggered when the value of the associated metric exceeded the baseline The baseline reported by the agent, is calculated for specific instance and it sensitive at granularity of hour in a day, day in a week and so on.
For example, the “typical observed behavior” for the same instance will be different for weekdays and for the weekends, and off course, the “typical observed behavior” will be different between different instances. The timeframe we chose in the zonar, is what sets baselines to a granularity.
Threshold alarms are triggered when the value of the metric (or calculated metrics) exceeded defined threshold
