Unable to add SQL PI extension to Azure SQL agent due to error "cannot invoke method getRegisterSpiResponse() on null object"
Description

Getting "Failed to enable SQL PI monitoring extension for SQL Agent AGENTNAME Cannot invoke method getRegisterSpiResponse() on null object" when adding SQL PI extension to an Azure SQL agent
The following messages can be found in the FMS log
VERBOSE [dcmzhfbblk-0] script.system:dbwc_azure_installer_api.executeRMICallback - Failed to locate RMI remote reference. Connection refused to host: FGLAMHOSTNAME; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
ERROR [dcmzhfbblk-0] script.system:dbwc_azure_installer_spi.enableSPI - Cannot invoke method getRegisterSpiResponse() on null object
java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke method getRegisterSpiResponse() on null object
Cause

Blocked RMI connection. The port between the FglAM and the FMS was not open bidirectionally due to a firewall.
Resolution

Confirm that port 3260 between the between the FMS and FglAM is open bidirectionally.
