Group roles not mapped to user when using SAML authentication -
Description
As a Foglight Admin, would like to assign Foglight roles to the groups so that members of the groups will automatically inherit the roles when they logon using SAML authentication.
- Assign Foglight roles and permissions to SAML groups.
- Users in the SAML group will be granted designated roles/permissions.

WORKAROUNDThe groups can be imported using LDAP integration and first log in using LDAP authentication for group membership to be resolved; then when the user logs on using SAML authentication, the roles will be automatically inherited based upon Group/s membership.STATUSEnhancement request FOG-163 has been submitted to development for consideration in a future release of Foglight. -
