Installed Toad Edge successfully. When launching or starting Toad Edge, it prompts to sign in or login to ToadWorld / Quest Support. On attempting to sign in the following error occurs:
"Connection to authentication server could not be established."
Signing in directly on ToadWorld / Quest Support works okay.
RESOLUTION 1):
Please inquire with your IT / Helpdesk / Network Administrators, and see if they can allow internet access on your computer and/or fix the firewall blocking or certificate issues.
RESOLUTION 2):
Please run Windows Update, especially on new computers, and ensure all high priority and important updates are applied on your computer. This may resolve certificate issues.
RESOLUTION 3):
Perform a full reboot / restart of your PC and then re-test the issue.
RESOLUTION 4):
If you are not able to get approval to allow internet access on your PC or the firewall / certificate issues could not be fixed, please see below.
Starting Toad Edge version 1.2, Offline licensing is now available. For instructions on applying an Offline license, see the Toad Edge Installation Guide.
