Unable to save alarm changes in the database agent alarm configuration panels.
The issue is caused when bad values get into the registry settings managing the alarm configuration. It is unknown what user actions or interruptions cause this to happen.
WORKAROUND
In the Rules Management page, search for the registry settings that match the alarm settings which cannot be saved.
Enter the registry setting and delete the scoped values assigned to the alarm.
Then attempt to add the alarm configuration again.
STATUS
This issue seems unlikely to happen in the new Foglight 6.0 and higher alarm template configuration. An upgrade of the FMS and database cartridges is recommended.
