When FglAM crashes/is killed, the watchdog process restarts FglAM. After this there should only be 1 FglAM process and 1 (new) watchdog process
Kill -9 <FglAM process id> (Unix only)
Kill fglam.exe from the Task Manager (Windows only)
Please note: The watchdog process creates its log files in the FglAM state directory.
When FglAM is launched a separate process watchdog is created.
Start from command line (Unix and Windows)
Start from command line as daemon (Unix only)
Start from Windows service manager (Windows only)
Start by double-clicking FglAM in a file browser (Unix and Windows)
When FglAM is shutdown normally, the watchdog process exits and a second copy of FglAM is not started up
Shut down using CTRL+C on the console
Shut down using fglam --stop
Shutdown using the Windows service manager (Windows only)
kill -TERM <FglAM process id> (Unix only).
