Is there anything needed to be set-up in Toad to use OS Password Authentication? -
Description
My Oracle database is setup with remote_os_authent=TRUE in order to use Windows OS authentication. i.e. I don't need to specify a username or password when I connect to my database, my Windows login details are used as default.
Do I need to change anything in Toad to enable me to connect with just the database name? -
Resolution
As long as the necessary Oracle files have been amended, then you only need to type the database name to connect. There are no settings to be amended in Toad.
